Choosing a pediatric sports medicine and orthopedic specialist is an important decision, and we’re honored that you’re considering us for your child’s care. By selecting Dr. Frye and her team, you can feel confident that your child will receive compassionate, expert care in a welcoming environment. To help you get started, we’ve gathered useful information below to make your first visit as smooth and stress-free as possible.
What to Expect
On the day of your child’s first visit, please arrive about 15 minutes early to allow time for check-in and completion of any necessary forms. Bringing your photo ID and insurance card will help us verify your information and start your appointment promptly. Our staff will be happy to guide you through the process and help your child feel comfortable in our office.
Important Information for Patients Previously Seen at Sports Medicine & Orthopedics of Grand Blanc or Other Clinic
Rise & Shine Orthopedics is a completely separate and independent medical practice from Sports Medicine & Orthopedics of Grand Blanc. The two practices have different ownership and are not affiliated in any way. As a result, all patients who previously saw Dr. Frye at Sports Medicine & Orthopedics of Grand Blanc will be considered new patients at Rise & Shine Orthopedics and will need to complete new patient registration prior to being seen. Due to privacy regulations and the separation of the two practices, Rise & Shine Orthopedics is unable to access or obtain medical records from Sports Medicine & Orthopedics of Grand Blanc, including notes authored by Dr. Frye during her time at that practice. Patients are responsible for requesting copies of their prior medical records and having them faxed, mailed, or brought with them to their appointment at Rise & Shine Orthopedics. Additionally, appointments scheduled at Sports Medicine & Orthopedics of Grand Blanc do not automatically transfer to Rise & Shine Orthopedics. If a follow-up appointment had been scheduled at the prior practice for 2026 and you were not notified by that office, that scheduling was not under the control of Dr. Frye or Rise & Shine Orthopedics. We understand that this process may feel inconvenient, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as Dr. Frye opens the new, independent practice. These steps are necessary to ensure compliance with medical privacy laws and to provide safe, high-quality care moving forward. Thank you for your understanding.
